For my free inquiry project, I will be reading David Swartz’s 1997 book on Pierre Bourdieu called Culture and Power. I thought it would be good to familiarize myself further with Bourdieu’s thought, being that he is a foundational theorist for the sociology of education, particular in the area of education and the reproduction of social class.
